BRS Working President KT Rama Rao held a meeting with the erstwhile Mahbubnagar district leaders while Harish Rao held a meeting with Khammam and Mahabubabad leaders at the central party office Telangana Bhavan on Monday.
On this occasion, the activities related to the upcoming elections were discussed. The upcoming Lok Sabha and MLC by-elections were discussed. MLC notification of one local body has already been released. They discussed the strategies to be followed for the Mahabubnagar seat as well as the Nagar Kurnool Lok Sabha seat in the upcoming parliamentary elections. KTR said that within a day or two, party chief KCR will organise a wide-scale preparatory meeting on these two parliamentary constituencies. In this meeting, the leaders opined that they will appeal to KCR about the circumstances related to the Lok Sabha elections along with the MLC poll. The leaders expressed hope that the party’s chances of victory in these two Lok Sabha elections along with the MLC elections are strong. On sidelines, former minister and MLA Harish Rao held a separate meeting with BRS MP candidates of Khammam and Mahabubabad parliamentary constituencies and other key leaders of the respective districts at Telangana Bhavan.
Harish Rao said that the deceitful attitude of the Congress should be explained to the people at the field level.
“Even if there is Congress in gully, BRS MP candidates should win to question and solve Telangana issues at Delhi platform. It should be explained to the people that without compromise, the interests of Telangana can be protected only by the BRS. The Congress party has failed to implement the promises made three months after coming to power. Two or three promises have been incompletely implemented and it is being advertised as having done everything.”
