TPCC President Revanth Reddy has accused the KCR family of corruption involving lakhs of crores. After hoisting the National Flag at the Gandhi Bhavan on the 77th Independence Day on Tuesday, Revanth addressed party ranks.
He said that KCR’s family committed corruption involving lakhs of crores and grabbed 10,000 acres. He said that lands sold by the BRS government in haste will be reviewed after Congress comes to power.
He said that Congress leaders fought without even counting their lives to gain freedom for the country. “It was Mahatma Gandhi who proved that struggle can be through non-violence. Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar made voting a weapon and gave equal rights to all people. Nehru was a great leader who gave the fruits of welfare to the country. It is our responsibility to remember these great leaders today,” said Revanth Reddy.
He said that while he Indira Gandhi sacrificed her life for the country, Rajiv Gandhi took the country technologically ahead. Former Prime Ministers PV Narasimha Rao and Dr Manmohan Singh led the country towards progress. Revanth criticized that the ‘British’ Janata Party (BJP) for adopting a policy of divide and rule in the country today. He said that Rahul Gandhi conducted Bharat Jodo Yatra to counter hate. He said that the Modi government has taken twice as many loans in the last eight years as all the PMs from Nehru to Manmohan.
Prime Minister Modi has bankrupted the country. He said that the Centre has limited itself to slogans in the last few years. He asked what happened to the guarantee of 2 crore jobs per year. “Unemployment is rampant in the country. They said that if BJP comes GDP will increase…but it has increased, that is Gas, Diesel and Petrol prices.
The country’s economy is in tatters. While Manipur is in flames, Modi and Amit Shah went to Karnataka to hunt for votes. They should have sent the army to Manipur to stop the violence. Instead, they sent the ED and the CBI to defeat the Congress. Revanth lashed out at the Centre saying that Modi is worse than dictators. He said that good days will come to the country again only through the INDIA alliance.
If Congress is giving promises, then KCR is doing the same thing. Revanth said that KCR is waiving loans, issuing job notifications and promising double-bedroom houses out of fear of defeat. He said that Arogyashri has been debilitated by the CM. He asked why job notifications were not issued in the last nine years. Revanth said that whatever good is happening to the people in the state is because of the Congress. People will not believe whatever KCR says, he added.
He said that when the Congress government comes to power in the state, the loans of farmers up to Rs 2 lakh would be waived. He promised to fill up 2 lakh vacancies in government service within a year of coming to power. He said that they will give a gas cylinder for Rs 500 and support women.
He said that Rs 5 lakh will be given to every poor person for constructing houses. He said that the government will bear medical expenses of up to Rs 5 lakh through Aarogyasri. Revanth asked Congress workers to reach out to every household through the ‘Tiragabadadam Tarimikodadam’ slogan and work to bring the Congress to power in the state.
