KCR govt looting TS: Tarun Chugh

Must read

PNS|Hyderabad

The KCR government is looting Telangana, BJP General Secretary Tarun Chugh said here on Sunday. He said that the BRS government is like Alibaba and 40 Thieves.

Chugh said that KCR’s rule is nothing but looting and stockpiling public funds and that the Telangana government is now a puppet in the hands of the AIMIM.

Chugh said that the “criminals” of Telangana are portraying themselves as “satyagrahis.” Addressing the media on Sunday, Chugh said that this was clearly demonstrated in the Kavitha episode.

The staged, contrived protest for the Women’s Reservation Bill in New Delhi on March 10 and the drama that BRS leaders created while Kavitha was summoned for questioning by the ED on March 11, are pointers to the systematic attack being unleashed by a group of BRS politicians facing corruption charges.

Chugh said the BJP takes strong exception to the way a section of the opposition has been trying to malign statutory institutions without realising the impact such a campaign would have on the morale of their personnel.

BRS leaders, including ministers, MPs, MLAs and public representatives trooped into New Delhi as though the heavens had fallen. Their histrionics in the capital are a glaring example of the malicious propaganda aimed at deflecting public attention from the core issue of corruption.

Chugh said KCR and his family looted Telangana during the last nine years. As if the loot was not enough, the money-thirsty family came to New Delhi to expand their loot in connivance with AAP leaders.

When the scam came out they took the usual recourse to propaganda to malign Prime Minister Modi and Central agencies. What is baffling is their brazenness as charges of corruption stare in their faces. There seems to be a pattern in the way the accused behave, he said.

Chugh pointed to Manish Sisodia holding rallies before appearing before the ED and Kavitha getting flanked by top BRS leaders.

‘Aparadhis’ behave like ‘Satyagrahis,’ that is, the perpetrators of crimes pretend to be victims in the hope that their theatrics will bury their crimes under the carpet. The people know the truth and the tactics of criminals, Chugh said.

BRS leaders will repeat these dramas once again on March 16 and will continue their propaganda of lies against the PM and Central agencies. But that is not going to help them, Chugh said.

“It will be better for Kavitha to face the ED like any other suspect. I appeal to the Telangana Chief Minister to refrain from orchestrating cheap polemics from the Pragathi Bhavan as Central agencies will not get intimidated by falsehood and people wouldn’t believe their false propaganda,” Chugh said.
