‘KCR hand in glove with Jagan’

Must read

Telangana BJP President Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Thursday accused Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao of colluding with his Andhra counterpart YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to loot the Telugu states forever by whipping up regional sentiments.

Addressing a massive gathering at the SRR College Grounds in Karimnagar on the conclusion of his fifth phase Praja Sangrama Yatra, the BJP leader said the ruling YSR Congress party of Andhra Pradesh had deliberately raked up the issue of the merger of Telugu states only to trigger Andhra sentiment in its state, while KCR kicks up the Telangana sentiment all over again to garner votes in the next elections.

“Both the chief ministers are hand in glove with each other in trying to gain political mileage by raking up regional sentiments again.

They have a common objective of looting the people and stashing commissions. Whenever issues are coming, one says Jai Telangana and the other says Jai Andhra,” he said.

Sanjay said the Telangana Chief Minister who had spent eight years in his farmhouse had come out suddenly in the name of national politics and renamed his TRS as BRS and had started abusing Prime Minister Modi, as he was frightened of the increasing popularity of the BJP.

“He wound up TRS in Telangana and opened the BRS shop in New Delhi now. What is BRS? It is nothing but Bandipotla Rashtra Samithi or Bar and Restaurant Samithi,” he said.

Sanjay said by renaming the party as BRS, the Chief Minister had lost his connection with Telangana. “Now, the people of the state can get rid of Telangana, as he has betrayed Mother Telangana,” he said.

Recalling the public rally held by KCR in 2001 named “Simha Garjana” at the same venue in Karimnagar, Sanjay wondered what KCR had done to Telangana after its formation. Not a single section of society is happy with KCR, as he had failed to completely fulfil any of his promises, he said.

“He could not deliver his promise of constructing double-bedroom houses for all eligible families nor fulfil his promise to fill vacancies in government service. Power tariffs have gone up steeply. The education sector collapsed due to a lack of basic facilities and faculty. Employees are not able to get their salaries on time. The state has plunged into a debt trap with loans of over Rs 5000 billion,” he said.

Sanjay said that after looting crores through settlements and land encroachments, the family of KCR is now trying to loot the country in the name of BRS. “Take any scam, whether it is liquor, sand, granite and drugs, BRS leaders are involved in it,” he said.

He also accused the Telangana government of not cooperating with the Centre in implementing welfare and developmental schemes by refusing to provide matching grants.

“Whatever development the state has witnessed so far os only because of Central assistance,” he reminded.
