Does KCR have any moral right to talk about the Visakha Steel Plant? asked Union Tourism Minister G. Kishan Reddy. He said that KCR is acting generous in the name of the Visakha Steel Plant.
He said the Kalvakuntla family is staging a political drama in the name of the Visakha Steel Plant to divert public attention from KCR’s failures. He said the Kalvakuntla family is speaking lies in the name of VSP.
Speaking to the media at the BJP State office on Sunday, Kishan said that KCR is staging a political drama by sending SCCL officials to VSP declaring that SCCL will purchase VSP. BRS Ministers have also issued statements regarding VSP.
SCCL employees are unhappy. The BRS had staged protests when Prime Minister Modi came to Hyderabad saying that the Centre is privatising SCCL, he said.
He said that BRS leaders were staging a hungama to hoodwink the public for political gains. He asked KCR to fulfil his promise to establish the Bayyaram Steel Plant immediately.
Pointing that many companies have been closed in Telangana, Kishan asked KCR to explain whether he had reopened even a single company.
KCR had assured that he will reopen Nizam Sugar Factory within 100 days after coming to power. But he has not done anything to reopen the Nizam Sugar Factory even after nine years, he said.
Kishan said that KCR has thrown governance to the winds in Telangana and was just criticising the Centre.
He said that KCR paid tributes to Ambedkar on his birth anniversary after suddenly waking up after nine years. “It is just a drama for votes. He has no regard for Ambedkar,” he pointed out.
There was a tradition of United Andhra Pradesh CMs paying tributes to Ambedkar but KCR never followed that. KCR did not pay tributes to Babu Jagjeevan Ram’s statue at LB Stadium. In fact, KCR had said that Ambedkar’s Constitution must be replaced with his Kalvakuntla constitution, he said.
Kishan said that KCR gave up offering Pattu Vastras to Lord Sri Rama during Bhadrachalam Seetharamula Kalyanam. The Chief Minister has time to attend Iftar parties but he doesn’t have the time to go to Bhadrachalam, Kishan said.
He said that Dalit Bandhu has become BRS Bandhu. “Is it written in the Constitution that corruption must not be investigated? The law will take its own course. I am writing letters to the CM but I don’t think that KCR will respond,” he said.
Responding to Atiq Ahmed’s murder, Kishan said that it would have been better if Owaisi had spoken about people fleeing the Old City in just their clothes after selling their properties.
Kishan said that immediately after the murder, a committee was set up. It was not expected to happen, but it happened. He said the BJP will tackle the mafia strongly.
