TPCC President Revanth Reddy said that when BC Minister Eatala Rajender resigned, the post was given to someone who was not a BC. Of the 115 seats in the state, not even a single ticket was given to the Mudiraj community.
“KCR took revenge on the Mudiraju community. Three minister posts for BCs who comprise 50% of the population and four minister posts for KCR’s group. Not a single Madiga was given a minister post. There can be social justice only if the Congress comes to power,” he said.
“If Eatala and KCR have a dispute, they should settle it among themselves. But it is not right for KCR to vent his anger on Mudirajs. KCR said that he will take an all-party team to New Delhi for ABCD classification. But till now KCR has not questioned Modi on classification. Why vote for KCR who has not given a single minister post to Mudirajus and Madigas. Why should Madigas vote for KCR who does not support classification? Water went to Jagan Reddy, funds went to contractor, appointments went to KCR,” Revanth said lashing out at the BRS government.
Revanth toured Kodangal, Tandur, Vikarabad, Parigi and Chevella constituencies on Thursday and warned that the people will teach a lesson to those who want to win elections through violence.
“Our policy is to improve the poor’s living standards. Our policy is to provide free medical care up to Rs 5 lakh through Rajiv Arogyashri. Our policy is to give a pension of Rs 4,000 on the first day of every month.
Our policy is to help the poor build houses by giving them Rs 5 lakh. Our policy is to provide LPG for Rs 500 a cylinder and support women,” said Revanth.
“What happened to Kodangal which KCR and KTR adopted? KCR who said that he would bring Krishna water could not bring it even after five years. Kodangal will not get water without completing the construction of the Lakshmi Devi Palli reservoir,” he said. The BRS is trying to cheat the people of Kodangal again, Revanth added.
“The temple and school built in Kodangal is the development that took place during my term. Am I not the one who brought drinking water to Kodangal? We brought 30 sub-stations to Kodangal.
We brought a bus depot to Kodangal. Roads were built in the constituency during our time. The BRS government did not complete the Narayanpet lift irrigation project thereby doing an injustice to Kodangal,” Revanth said.
“The CM refused to give an appointment to an MLA for four years and now when he tried to join the Congress he is given a minister post. That is the power of the Congress. They got minister posts but what has Tandoor got,” Revanth said speaking about Minister Mahender Reddy and MLA Rohit Reddy.
It was assumed that once Telangana is formed, Godavari water would come to this region, Revanth said. But KCR prevented Godavari water from coming here. He asked why the waters of the Godavari were supplied only to Medak district.
KCR sold lands in Ranga Reddy district for thousands of crores. They grabbed 40,000 acres in the name of Pharma SEZ, he said.
Revanth said that Dalits and tribals suffered the most during KCR’s rule and that the Congress brought the SC and ST Sub-Plan to ensure Dalit and tribal participation in funding and appointments.
He recalled the sentimental value of Chevella for the Congress and said all programmes launched from Chevella would be successful.
On Thursday Revanth inspected arrangements for the Praja Garjana Sabha being held in Chevella on August 26.
