TDP supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu is known for his political strategies. But now it appears that all his strategies are backfiring.The latest strategy of Chandrababu Naidu is to become active in Telangana politics. It may help Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and also Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. For Chandrababu, Jagan and KCR are the main rivals in AP and Telangana respectively. But with his strategies, Chandrababu is helping them both.
In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Chandrababu became active. After becoming AP Chief Minister in 2014, Chandrababu completely neglected his party in Telangana. But suddenly he became active in Telangana just before the Assembly elections with an alliance with the Congress.Telangana CM KCR cleverly used the strategy of Chandrababu in retaining power. At the same time, in the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections Chandrababu lost power.
Political observers feel that the same thing may repeat in the next elections in both Telugu states.In Telangana, BRS leaders and in AP YSR Congress leaders have already started strategies against Chandrababu. BRS leaders have already branded Chandrababu as anti-Telangana. Telangana finance minister T. Harish Rao commented on Chandrababu “Invalid Rupee in Andhra Pradesh. How it can become valid in Telangana.”BRS leaders have again started their campaign against Chandrababu by branding him as anti-Telangana.
Meanwhile, in Andhra Pradesh YSR Congress leaders including Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy have also started a campaign against Chandrababu. Before the 2019 Assembly elections itself, Jagan had settled in that state and also constructed his own residence. Both Chandrababu and YS Jagan have their own posh residences in Hyderabad.
After the defeat in the 2019 Assembly elections, Chandrababu is staying more in Hyderabad than in AP. Now, YSR Congress leaders are using this against Chandrababu. They are asking Chandrababu to reveal where he wants to settle in Telangana or AP.
In recent times Jagan who settled in AP is coming to Hyderabad occasionally. Chandrababu is staying in Hyderabad and going to AP to attend party programmes.
