TPCC President Revanth Reddy lashed out at BRS Working President IT Minister KT Ramarao for stating that former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy had joined the Congress as the BRS did not give him a ticket.
Revanth said that KTR’s father KCR had quit the TDP and floated the TRS as the TDP did not give him any post.
Speaking to the media in Khammam district on Friday after visiting the July 2 public meeting venue, Revanth said that Ponguleti took the decision to join the Congress as per the opinion of his associates even though he is going to lose personally.
The Congress high command has directed its Telangana unit to blow a Samara Shankam at the July 2 meeting in Khammam.
Revanth said the Congress decided to help the TSRTC, which is suffering losses, by hiring 1,500 buses for the Khammam public meeting. But Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay is blocking the hiring of TSRTC buses. He said the public will attend the meeting even if buses are not given.
He said the Congress is organizing the Khammam public meeting with more people than the number of people who attended the BRS Formation Day meeting in Khammam.
Revanth said the Congress will end BRS rule after the Khammam public meeting. He called upon the Congress leaders and cadres to give a birthday gift to Sonia Gandhi by ensuring the victory of the Congress in Telangana.
The TPCC President said that KCR is giving Podu land pattas to Adivasis as Ponguleti is joining the Congress and that KCR is giving Podu land pattas as election samples. He said that the BRS government itself is a government of samples.
Revanth termed Telangana BJP President Sanjay as ‘Bitthiri Sathi’ and said that nobody knows as to what he is speaking.
He asked the IT department to reveal the assets it found during raids on BRS MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy and MLA Pailla Shekar Reddy.
He also attended CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka’s padayatra and discussed the July 2 conclusion meeting. He said the party will prepare its manifesto based on things the CLP leader learnt from the people.
