‘KCR wilfully avoiding PM’s function’

PNS | Hyderabad

Will Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s function being held on Saturday at the Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (RFCL) or not has become the talk of the town.

The TRS has been saying that the BJP-led Central government has insulted the Chief Minister by not following protocol. But BJP leaders have been spitting fire at the Chief Minister for not saying whether he will attend the PM’s programme or not.

Rajya Sabha Member Dr K. Laxman lashed out at KCR saying that he has been trying to derail the efforts of Prime Minister Modi, who is trying hard to develop Telangana. KCR has been staying away from Modi’s tour wilfully, Laxman said.

He said that KCR has vast experience as an MLA, MP and Chief Minister but he not recognising the difference between politics and government programmes. He said that KCR’s attitude would harm the people of Telangana.

Laxman said that KCR has been trying to politicise Prime Minister Modi’s visit. He said the Chief Minister has to attend the Prime Minister’s programme although KCR has political differences with the BJP.

KCR will get a chance to request funds for the development of Telangana if he participates in the Prime Minister programme, he said. However, KCR has been egging on Communists to sabotage Modi’s programme instead of attending it.

Lashing out at the TRS for installing flexes stating ‘No Entry to Modi,’ Laxman said what can they achieve from it.Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar asked KCR to explain why the Prime Minister should not visit the state. Sanjay said that KCR has been speaking lies about the invitation sent to him to skip the Prime Minister’s programme. Sanjay said that it is up to KCR to decide whether to attend PM’s programme or not.

Sanjay said that KCR should be questioned as a witness in the Moinabad farmhouse case. He said the BJP approached the court to ensure an impartial investigation and that nothing will happen through the SIT probe.

“KCR himself said that BJP is in this case….That is why we went to court,” Sanjay said. He asked why the four MLAs were not coming out.

BJP National Executive Committee member Vivek said that KCR is afraid of Modi and so he is not attending Modi’s programmes. Finding fault with Communists for giving a call for a Ramagundam bandh, Vivek asked the CPI and the CPM to ask KCR he had allotted the Thadicherla Mine to private firm AMR.

He said that KCR too has a share in the Tadicherla Mine. He said the cost of digging a tonne of coal is Rs 500, but KCR allotted the work for Rs 2,500 a tonne to AMR. He said there was a Rs 20,000 crore scam in the Tadicherla Mine deal.

Another BJP National Executive Committee member Vijayashanti said the Communists opposing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Telangana is a wonder of wonders.

First of all, Communists should realise that the Modi government has facilitated a lot of development which has helped the labour class and the poor, she said.
