If we observe the differences between the election schedules of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, bad luck for BRS president and former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao began from the election schedule itself. Due to the election schedule, KCR had lost the chief minister’s post five weeks before the end of his tenure. The tenure of Telangana Assembly was scheduled to have ended on January 16, 2024.
The tenure of Andhra Pradesh Assembly is scheduled to end on June 11, 2024. The Telangana Assembly elections were held on November 30, 2023 and results were declared on December 3, 2023. For the Andhra Pradesh Assembly the elections will bd held on May 13, 2024 and results will be declared on June 4, 2024.
Telangana Assembly elections results were declared on December 3, 2023 as the tenure of Assembly ended on January 16, 2024. That means around 43 days before the end of the tenure, Telangana Assembly election results were declared where the BRS was defeated. Regarding Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections the results will be declared on June 4 and the tenure of present Assembly is going to end on June 11. That means Andhra Pradesh Assembly election results will be declared just one week before the end of the present Assembly tenure.
If the Election Commission followed the same procedure as the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections and if the Telangana Assembly election schedule was decided to announce the results one week before to the end of Assembly tenure, there would have been a chance for KCR to continue as the Chief Minister for another month.
