Union Tourism Minister Telangana BJP President G. Kishan Reddy asked whether Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao read 80,000 books to sell public lands.
He said that rulers have to create assets or else government systems will collapse, particularly if they go on selling assets. If the land is sold, it is the beginning of the downfall of government systems, he said.
Kishan said that the KCR government which
allotted 10 acres to the Congress to construct its party office in Bowenpally is not allocating land for Science City which would be useful to the public.
He said the Congress and the BRS are sharing lands illegally by colluding with each other. The KCR government allocated 11 acres to the BRS and 10 acres to the opposition Congress, he added.
He said that both the Congress and the BRS are hand in glove. “Moreover, the KCR government shamelessly issued a GO stating that it allocated land to the BRS as it gave to the Congress,” he said.
Kishan recalled that Municipal Minister KT Rama Rao had opposed the sale of lands when former Chief Minister, the late YS Rajashekhar Reddy, sold some lands. But the same KTR is now selling lands after coming to power.
Speaking to the media at the State BJP office here on Monday, Kishan said that the decision to sell lands cannot be justified as it can be useful for future generations.
He said that the selling of lands by KCR is like setting up a canopy by demolishing a house.
“The selling of lands by KCR is nothing but deceiving people as KCR had claimed repeatedly that the State is rich,” he pointed out and added that KCR has made Telangana debt-riddled.
