Senior TPCC Vice-President and the Chairman of the Election Commission Coordination Committee, G Niranjan said that State BJP President G Kishan Reddy’s comments against the Congress make one suspect that he has lost his mental balance.
Speaking to the media at the Gandhi Bhavan on Monday, Niranjan said that since the last three years, every BJP leader including Modi has been trying to come to power in Telangana, but the people of Telangana limited them to single digits.
He said that elections were held on November 30 and results declared on December 3. After swearing-in on December 7, the Congress government under Revanth Reddy demolished the Pragathi Bhavan’s boundary wall and held the Praja Durbar the very next day.
The Congress government also implemented two of its six guarantees, that is, it provided free transport for women in TSRTC buses and raised the Aarogyasri limit to Rs 10 lakh. It is not proper for Kishan to speak like a blind man, he said.
He said that there are only eight BJP MLAs but they are unable to decide their legislative party leader. The Congress has always been against the AIMIM and its policies. Although AIMIM leaders had criticised the Congress leaders, Akbaruddin Owaisi was appointed Protem Speaker as per the Assembly’s convention. It is not appropriate for the BJP to criticise the Congress regarding this, he said.
