-Vijayashanthi feeling uneasy over presence of Kiran Kumar Reddy?
BJP national executive committee member Vijayashanthi has tweeted saying that she left the swearing-in-ceremony of G Kishan Reddy as BJP State unit president midway because she felt unease over the presence of former chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy. However, she did not mention Kiran Kumar Reddy’s name.
She said, “However, in the event that there were those who were most strongly opposed to Telangana and tried to crush Telangana agitation with an iron foot, it was inconvenient and impossible for me to be there, so I had to leave early”, she tweeted.
She, however, sought to blame the media persons by saying that she had to tweet because the presspersons asked her to explain why she had left the function midway. She said, “Journalist friends are asking why she left in the middle of Kishan Reddy’s swearing-in ceremony as BJP president. That’s not right. I came only after congratulating Kishan Reddy and conveying his best wishes”.
However, one of the party leaders expressed the opinion that it was not proper on the part of Vijayashanthi to leave the venue midway. Kiran Kumar Reddy might attend the meeting as he was invited to function. Moreover, Kiran Kumar Reddy is now a BJP leader and the party appointed him as BJP national executive committee member.
He further said that the BRS party, which is claiming to have achieved statehood for Telangana, is allowing the leaders from Andhra Pradesh to share the dais with Telangana leaders. He asked what was wrong on the part of Kiran Kumar Reddy. After all, he attended the program as a guest, he felt.
