Kollu Ravindra, Minister for Mines & Geology and Excise, has announced that one lakh unemployed youths will be getting employment opportunities in Machilipatnam as scores of industries are coming to the city soon. Many prominent industrialists are showing interest in establishing industries in Machilipatnam. Besides, BPCL oil refinery with an investment of Rs. 60,000-70,000 crore will also come up in Machilipatnam, he added.
While addressing the media at the R&B Guest House in Machilipatnam, Minister Ravindra said that the State government is giving utmost importance to the port city Machilipatnam. Besides the BPCL oil refinery, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is taking steps to set up energy and battery storage industries in the city, he said. The government has vowed to work with a motto of people’s welfare and for that, people should cooperate with the government, he added.
Further, he said that in the future, good days will come for Machilipatnam people and educated youths to get suitable jobs. Also, Machilipatnam will get back its previous glory, he hoped. The State government is interested in establishing industries in Machilipatnam with the support of the Central government. He assured the educated youths that they need not worry about their future as more employment opportunities will come to the city through the new industries.
Minister Ravindra also referred to the Land Titling Act. The original legal heir will have to suffer great loss as a result of the Act that was introduced by the previous YSRCP government. So, his government cancelled the Act to benefit the legal heirs. People of the State have lauded Chief Minister Naidu and the State government for this, the Minister said.
Later, he expressed unhappiness over the condition of the drainage system in Machilipatnam’s urban and rural areas. A special programme will be chalked out to remove silt and garbage piled up in the drains. He will concentrate on improving the sanitation situation in Machilipatnam, he added.
He said the government will take steps to repair all R&B roads and internal roads. Under the Amrith Scheme, Machilipatnam will be developed spending Rs.58 crore. Also, he assured the people that he will strive to bring MP LADS, besides the Central government funds, to the city to develop Machilipantam, he said.
