‘Komatireddy brothers double engine’

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy lavished praise on the Komatireddy brothers on Sunday during the rally held to mark the filing of nomination papers by Congress’s Bhongir Lok Sabha candidate Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy.
Revanth Reddy said that Komatireddy Venkat Reddy was fully eligible to become the Chief Minister, adding “he is on par with me”.
“Venkat is a real fighter. He fought after revolting against his party for the sake of Telangana. Venkat quit his Minister post for the sake of Telangana. He did not run a fake movement for Telangana like (former CM) K Chandrasekhar Rao. Both the Komatireddy brothers convinced the Congress high command to give Telangana State,” the Chief Minister recalled.
The Chief Minister said that both the Komatireddy brothers had come up in politics through sheer hard work. Rajgopal worked in Delhi for the sake of Telangana and spent his own money to develop his constituency.
“The Komatireddy brothers are the double engine of the Congress. Three engines will work for Bhongir if Kiran wins,” the Chief Minister said.
The Chief Minister assured people that the Gandamalla, Brahmin Vellemla and the SLBC projects would be completed and that the name ‘Yadadri’ given to the Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple would be changed to ‘Yadagirigutta’ again.
He reiterated: “I am saying with Yadagiri Laxminarasimha Swamy as witness that the Congress government will waive farm loans up to Rs 2 lakh before August 15”.
Targeting former Bharat Rashtra Samithi Minister G. Jagdish Reddy, the CM said, “A three-foot leader who serves soda is speaking against the Komatireddy brothers. He has been criticising Rajgopal, saying that he is wooing me for the sake of a Minister post. The Komatireddy brothers did not enter politics by serving soda in liquor in dora’s shed. They entered politics turning their blood into sweat. They came up in politics carrying the tricolour. If anyone is eligible for the post of Chief Minister besides me, it is Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.”
Earlier, Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy, who is the Bhongir Lok Sabha constituency in-charge,  praised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and later the Chief Minister hailed the Komatireddy brothers.
Addressing the gathering, Rajgopal said that the Komatireddy brothers were like an extra shoulder for Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Nobody can stop the Komatireddy brothers should they decide to join Revanth Reddy, he said.
The Congress government was setting right Telangana, which had become debt-riddled during the BRS rule, Rajgopal said. He said that the Komatireddy brothers would win the Bhongir LS seat for the Chief Minister and that ensuring the victory of the Congress candidate Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy was his responsibility.
“We will take the responsibility of ensuring the victory of Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will take care of development,” he said.
Rajgopal said that they had won 11 of the 12 seats in the erstwhile Nalgonda district and had just missed the Suryapet Assembly seat. The Congress would win with a bumper majority in Nalgonda and Bhongir, Rajgopal said.
