Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Thursday reiterated that the State government would certainly waive farm loans up to Rs 2 lakh by August 15. He was speaking at a meeting of Congress leaders and workers as part of the campaign for the Lok Sabha elections in Kanagal mandal under Nalgonda Lok Sabha constituency. He is confident of Congress victory in Nalgonda Lok Sabha constituency.
“On this occasion, I extend my greetings to the members of the Congress family. Kanagal is a bastion of the Congress party. We welcome the new ZPTC Chitla Venkatesham into our party,” he said.
The people of the constituency gave a huge majority to the Congress in the last elections. He said that in the next three years, he will develop Nalgonda in an unprecedented way.
After coming to power, the first signature was made on the Rs 100 crore Musampally road work. He said KCR’s misdeeds led to the drought. In 2004, after thinking about the AMRP canal, he set up the SLBC tunnel for farmers at a cost of Rs 2000 crore and almost 90% of the work was completed.
“KCR’s failed to release at least 10 per cent of funds in 10 years,” he said. He exhorted the Congress activists to work hard to ensure victory for the Congress candidate.
