The Minister took exception to former minister KT Rama Rao’s remark that CM Revanth Reddy is no match for former CM K Chandrashekar Rao
Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Monday clarified that Revanth Reddy rose from a Zilla Parishad Territorial constituency member to the Chief Minister’s post. He became chief minister with the support of one and all, he said.
The Minister was reacting to former Minister for Information Technology KT Rama Rao’s remarks that Revanth Reddy is no match for former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. He advised KTR to refrain from using intemperate language.
He accused KTR of becoming MLA on the strength of his father’s political clout.
The Bharat Rashtra Samithi indulged in large-scale corruption in the Kaleshwaram project and even hills were not spared from corruption, he said, alleging that the barrages built during BRS regime are in a precarious position.
He cautioned KTR to exercise caution while speaking and labelled him unequal to Revanth Reddy to criticise the latter.
The arrogance of KTR helped Congress candidates win the elections in Nalgonda district with a huge margin of votes, he said. He said that KTR seemed under delusion and he talked irrationally.
He further said that he had resigned as minister in support of the demand for a separate Telangana. He described KCR’s deeksha at the height of a separate Telangana agitation as a fake one.
Yadadri Bhogir Zilla Parishad Chairman Sandeep Reddy, who was present, express anger over the Minister’s remarks. There was exchange of words between them.
