Actor Naga Shaurya has expressed his support for Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, who is currently in custody in connection with the alleged murder case of Renukaswamy. Naga shared a photo on his Instagram, showing Darshan tying a watch on him. Addressing Darshan as “anna” (brother), Naga wrote in his post that Darshan is not someone who could ever harm anyone and expressed confidence in Darshan’s innocence.
“My heart goes out to the family of the deceased, and I genuinely wish them strength during this difficult time,” Naga Shaurya wrote in his Instagram post. The actor expressed disappointment at people rushing to conclusions about the issue. He stated, “Darshan Anna is not someone who could ever harm anyone, even in his worst nightmares. Those who know him well can attest to his generosity, kind-hearted nature, and unwavering commitment to helping others. He has always gone out of his way to support those in need and has been a pillar of strength for many.”
Naga Shaurya also conveyed his faith in the judicial system, believing that the truth will soon come to light. He emphasised the need for privacy and respect for the families involved in the challenging situation.
“We must also remember that another family is suffering greatly as well. They deserve privacy and respect during this challenging period. I firmly believe that Anna, known for his integrity and compassion, will be proven innocent and that the real culprit will be brought to justice,” he concluded in his post, adding a folded hands emoji. For those unfamiliar with the situation, Darshan and his friend Pavithra Gowda were arrested on June 11 in connection with the alleged murder of Darshan’s fan Renukaswamy. According to police officials, Renukaswamy had allegedly sent obscene messages to Gowda, which reportedly led to the tragic incident.
