IT Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) signed agreements with six more US firms on Sunday. These agreements will create jobs in the state.
The six companies that signed MoUs with Telangana are Mondee Holdings, Storable, Rite Software, The Charles Schwab Corporation, Rave Gears and Tekgence. Mondee Holdings will set up a Technology Centre of Excellence in Telangana, creating jobs for around 2,000 people.
An announcement was made regarding this after Prasad Gundumogula, the Founder Chairman and CEO of Mondee Holdings along with his leadership team, KTR in Houston.
Founded in 2011, Mondee Holdings is the world’s largest B2B2C and NASDAQ-listed firm dealing with travel marketplaces and delivering SaaS, mobile and cloud products and services to global customers processing over 50 million daily searches.
Storable announced that it will partner with the Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) to engage with local educational institutions. The firm established its first Global Development Centre (GDC) in Hyderabad recently.
It is a leading software provider for the self-storage industry serving 41,000 out of 60,000 storage facilities across the US, Canada, Australia and Europe. The tech giant will tap into the city’s talent pool hiring 100 software developers to start with and to expand further.
This collaboration will boost Research and Development capacity and will create jobs for local professionals.
The leadership team of Rite Software, a leader in digital solutions in the ERP domain, met KTR and invited him to inaugurate their new Development Centre in Hyderabad on June 30.
This Development Centre will provide jobs to over 500 people this year and also establish collaborative partnerships with some of the esteemed academic institutions of Telangana.
During the meeting, representatives of Rite Software apprised KTR of the firm’s future plans and their expansion into the tier-II cities of Telangana like Warangal.
Rite Software is considering establishing a Development Centre in Warangal in the near future. Rite Software India is a fully owned subsidiary of Rite Software Solutions & Services LLC, based in Houston.
The delegation from the financial services firm Charles Schwab Corporation explored collaboration avenues at the meeting with KTR. During the discussion, KTR highlighted the advantages of investing in Hyderabad.
Mr Aseem R. Mahajan, the Consul General of India in Houston, was also present on the occasion.
The firm has a prominent place in sectors like banking, investing and related services. With over 400 branches, they provide comprehensive consulting and wealth management advisory services and cater to both retail and institutional clients.
Rave Gears expressed interest in establishing a manufacturing plant in Telangana. The firm’s representatives had a meeting with KTR and discussed collaboration opportunities.
A delegation from Tekgence, a global supply chain and digital solutions firm, met KTR and discussed investment opportunities in Telangana.
After the meeting, the delegation expressed interest in establishing an Advanced Technology Centre (ATC) on Product Development and Design Thinking in Hyderabad.
Tekgence President Lakshmi Yenigalla and CEO Raghu Kommaraju said that the new centre would boost Tekgence’s operations and play a crucial part in its growth.
