BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Saturday paid tributes to handloom weaver Siripuram Lakshmi Narayana who took the extreme step of committing suicide unable to wriggle out of the mounting debts.
Later, he visited the bereaved family and gave Rs 50,000 to the family towards ad hoc assistance.
He spoke to Collector Anurag Jayanti and requested him to ensure that the family get financial assistance from the government.
KTR assured the family of Lakshmi Narayana that the BRS would stand by them.
