KVP to play key role in Cong again?

Must read

There is a buzz surrounding the potential return of KVP Ramachandra Rao, former Rajya Sabha member and close confidant of late Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy, to a key role within the Congress party in Andhra Pradesh. Speculations indicate that he may assume an advisory position to the newly appointed Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president, YS Sharmila Reddy, the daughter of the late CM and sister of the current CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
KVP Ramachandra Rao previously served as the Chief Advisor (Public Affairs) to the Andhra Pradesh government for four years when the Congress party was in power in the combined Andhra Pradesh. In 2008, he transitioned to the role of a Rajya Sabha Member, subsequently resigning from his Chief Advisor post. Known for his close association with Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy, KVP is now aligning himself with the newly appointed APCC chief YS Sharmila Reddy.
Since Sharmila’s appointment, KVP has been accompanying her on visits to Kadapa and Vijayawada. Notably, he was present at the ceremony where Sharmila assumed her role at the Andhra Ratna Bhavan, and he even travelled with her from Kadapa to Vijayawada on a special flight.
During a recent Congress party rally in Vijayawada, where the police briefly halted proceedings in Enikepadu, both KVP Ramachandra Rao and Sharmila Reddy were seen discussing party matters in her vehicle. At the oath-taking ceremony, KVP sat in the first row beside former APCC chief and CWC special invitee Gidugu Rudra Raju, providing suggestions as Sharmila took charge as APCC president at the Andhra Ratna Bhavan in Vijayawada.
There is growing anticipation among Congress party leaders and cadres that KVP Ramachandra Rao will assume an advisory role for Sharmila Reddy, reminiscent of his role with Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy. This development is seen as a positive sign for the party’s prospects in the upcoming state elections.
Meanwhile, followers of Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy and KVP Ramachandra Rao actively participated in Sharmila’s oath-taking ceremony, expressing joy over her assuming the role of APCC President.
They believe that under Sharmila’s leadership, the Congress party will regain its former glory.
