YS Bhaskar Reddy, the father of YS Avinash Reddy whom the CBI is questioning in connection with former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy’s murder case, has made it clear that the letter found near the body of the victim is key to finding a solution to the case. Bhaskar Reddy said he is appealing to the CBI to investigate in that direction.
Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, Bhaskar Reddy said that the matter is sub judice and hence he doesn’t want to make any comments in addition to what his son Avinash Reddy had spoken to the media in Hyderabad. When the media persons asked him about the reports of arrest by CBI in the case, he responded nonchalantly, “Let them do what they want to do (arrest). I’m prepared for everything.”
Earlier in the day, obeying the orders of the investigating agency, Bhaskar Reddy, went to the CBI guest house to attend to the investigation. However, the CBI officials were on leave and hence Bhaskar Reddy had to return home. Bhaskar Reddy said the CBI officials are yet to give a fresh date to appear before them.
Avinash Reddy moved the Telangana High Court and sought a stay order on his possible arrest by the CBI. Avinash Reddy appealed to the court to direct the CBI officials to video-record his examination.
The High Court directed the CBI officials to not arrest Avinash Reddy till Monday.
