Telangana Minister K T Rama Rao has said that like in the case of Kaleshwaram, the Palamuru Rangareddy lift irrigation project would be completed. KTR said: “Kaleshwaram project, which has been completed racing against time, is the biggest lift irrigation project; we have given water to every household, and overcome the challenges of electricity supply, established industrial units and increased employment; similarly, under the leadership of CM KCR, will be completed. It is the responsibility of our government to irrigate this area.”
KTR spoke after inaugurating Welspun India Limited’s advanced textile facility at Chandanvelly in Ranga Reddy district on Wednesday.
KTR said that big projects of 9billion dollars and 7billion dollarswere easy to announce, but difficult to complete. “Not only drinking water, but Telangana has done truly astounding things.
We have built world’s largest lift irrigation project in 4years of time called Kaleshwaram Project. I am standing on the soil of Rangareddy, I am promising you, we will also bring water from river Krishna and irrigate the entire area under the PalamuruRangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme”.
He said that unfortunately due to court and Bachawat Tribunal, it was getting delayed;otherwise, it could have been done by now.
KTR asked local leaders not to create problems. He said, “We’ve to struggle a lot to get investment in the state. When an industry comes, we need to welcome them. There will be small issues everywhere. When an industry comes, the area develops. In five years, the way Chandanvelly, Shabad, Sitarampur changed and will transform evidently. This will be helpful for our next generation.”
