HRD and IT Minister Nara Lokesh thanked the Central Government for its continuous support in the State’s development. He called for teamwork among public representatives and officials to make the Prime Minister’s visit on January 8 a grand success.
During a high-level meeting on Sunday, Lokesh reviewed the preparations, including arrangements for the public meeting, roadshow, transport, food, drinking water, and parking. This visit will be the Prime Minister’s first after the coalition government was formed.
Lokesh stressed the need for cooperation among leaders of the three coalition parties and officials to make the event memorable.
He highlighted the Prime Minister’s support for the state’s growth with several projects and funds.
Key instructions were given for crowd management, including single barricades along the roadshow and separate sections for attendees from different constituencies. The public meeting, to be held at AU Engineering College grounds, is expected to attract about three lakh people from North Andhra and East Godavari districts.
Minister Lokesh visited the meeting venue, inspected the arrangements, and suggested improvements. District Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad and CP Shankhabrata Bagchi assured that special officers have been appointed to manage all arrangements.
Lokesh emphasised flawless coordination, calling the visit a historic moment for Andhra Pradesh. Ministers, district officials, local MLAs, and other political leaders attended the meeting.
