The AP CID questioned TDP leader Kilaru Rajesh in the skill development scam case at the SIT office on Monday. Rajesh was a close aide of TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh. CID Officials tried to get key details from him regarding the skill scam. The CID officials asked Rajesh to come once again as there are questions to be asked.
Sources say that the CID officials have asked about 25 questions to Rajesh regarding the skill scam for more than six hours. The investigating agency officials questioned his relationship with Manoj Vasudev Parthasani, in reply Rajesh said he didn’t know who Parthasani was then the CID officials put the details of WhatsApp chats and cash transactions with MVP before Kilaru Rajesh, which shocked Rajesh.
When the CID inquired about Nara Lokesh’s business dealings, Rajesh remained silent. Then the officials inquired to whom the cash received from the shell companies was delivered and Rajesh did not reply to it.
Finally, the CID also inquired about the email conversations between Chandrababu and Lokesh. As he said that he did not send the mail, the officials put the details of some mail in front of Rajesh, then he pretended and said “I don’t know – I don’t remember” and tried to skip the question. CID has asked Kilaru Rajesh to come for an investigation tomorrow (Tuesday, October 17) as he did not answer the key questions.
The CID officials have issued a notice to Kilaru Rajesh to appear for the inquiry related to the skill scam. Earlier he approached the High Court for anticipatory bail fearing arrest in the case. However, the CID told the court that Rajesh was not included as an accused in the skill case, and if necessary, they would issue notices and investigate under CrPC 41 A.
