Krishna Madiga slams PM Modi for not fulfilling SC classification promise

Manda Krishna Madiga, president of the Mahajana Socialist Party (MSP) and founder of the Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS), has announced that his organisation will host the Madiga Viswarupa Mahasabba in Hyderabad during the second week of August to advocate for SC Reservations Classifications. Madiga leaders from various political parties across the country are expected to attend this meeting.
In anticipation of the MRPS Hyderabad Mahasabha, a meeting was held at Pathapadu, near Vijayawada, on Monday.
Addressing the meeting, Krishna Madiga said that the movement for SC Classification has been going on for the past 29 years. However, except for a five-year period during the TDP regime, Madiga people have not received reservations in education and employment, he added.
He said that the upcoming Viswarupa Mahasabba would be a crucial event in securing SC reservation classification. Additionally, he warned that if Prime Minister Narendra Modi failed to fulfil his promise of SC classification, the BJP will face collapse in the next elections.
Krishna Madiga also made serious remarks regarding the issues created by various political parties and the conduct of certain MRPS leaders. He attributed the implementation of several welfare schemes by the state government to the numerous movements organised by MRPS, citing the example of the “Aarogyasri” scheme that was established due to his agitation for conducting heart operations. He further highlighted the increase in various pensions from Rs. 200 to Rs. 3,000 in both Telugu states.
“Both TDP, Congress, and YSRCP offered MLA, MLC, and MP positions, but I rejected them to uplift my caste and society,” he affirmed. Furthermore, he leveled severe allegations against both CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and opposition party TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu, accusing them of betraying the Madiga caste. He urged the people to be aware of these two parties and support the MRPS.
To ensure success, Madiga individuals are encouraged to participate in the Hyderabad meeting. Krishna Madiga asserted that without obtaining SC A, B, C, and D classifications, Madiga people would not receive any benefits. He also alleged that many political parties have given assurances regarding SC reservations classification but subsequently neglected to act on their promises.
Prior to the meeting, Manda Krishna Madiga hoisted the MRPS flag at Nunna and organised a massive bike procession from Nunna to Pathapadu.
MSP State leader Manda Venkateswaea Rao Madiga, Gannavaram Constituency in-charge Manda Venu Babu Madiga, MRPS co-convener Peteti Kishore Madiga, and others also participated.
