Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) Managing Director VC Sajjanar said that 25 crore women have travelled in 90 days for free since the Mahalakshmi scheme was launched on December 9. He expressed happiness over the government announcing the 21 per cent fitment to the RTC staff.
He held a virtual meeting with TSRTC officials on Sunday at Bus Bhavan and said, “With the pay revision, the responsibility of RTC employees has increased. Everyone should work hard to provide better and quality services to the passengers. We should bring a good reputation to the corporation at the national level.”
“The impact of Covid and diesel burden had affected the corporation. At that time the corporation could not pay the salary on time, due to the fact that employees had been depressed. To relieve the employees’ insecurity, the corporation has taken steps to ensure that salaries are paid on the first of every month since October 2022”, he mentioned.
He said that the corporation has paid 9 DAs to the staff so far and has also provided promotions in all categories. The amount of pending bonds of Rs 280 crore, which will bring financial benefit is being paid with the help of the government.
He explained that 50,000 employees were given medical check-ups. Because of this, 300 people suffering from heart-related diseases were saved from fatal illness.
