Guntur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Keerthi Chekuri has said that efforts should be made to get a better rank in the Swachh Sarvekshan. She appealed to the people to be part of efforts for achieving better rank.
Commissioner Keerthi Chekuri held a review meeting with the heads of departments and nodal officers on cleanliness survey, Jagananna suraksha, voter survey and allocation of door numbers in the council hall of the city corporation.
Speaking on the occasion, the commissioner said that the city administration is working to achieve a better rank for Guntur city in Swachh Survekshan 2023, and the people of the city are also requested to inform the secretariat secretaries of about the OTP received on their phones through Swachha Sarvekshan apps run by the Central government. Nodal officials should supervise the secretariat secretaries to make people aware about cleanliness surveys.
The Commissioner told the officials that 100 percent house to house survey should be completed as part of Jagananna Suraksha programme, everyone who is eligible should get the benefits of government schemes. She warned the officials and staff of departmental action if they found indifferent in their duties.
Keerthi Chekuri directed the officials concerned to conduct house-to-house voter surveys from July 21 to August 21 and the BLOs should conduct a planned survey and have a comprehensive report of voters in every house.
The officials should check if the voters are staying in the same door number, if their photos are correct, if their age, gender and names are correct. The Additional Commissioner was directed to set up command control at the head office of the Municipal Corporation on the survey of voters, the Commissioner stated.
The supervisors should submit a report on changing of polling booths or shifting of booths since the Nadu-Nedu works are being carried out in various schools. She said that according to the new gazette, the planning secretaries are allocating door numbers within the secretariat and the TPS should directly examine the allotment of numbers at the field level and inform the higher officials if there are any problems.
Additional Commissioner P Roja, Deputy Commissioners B Srinivasa Rao, CH Srinivas, T Venkata Krishnaiah, Ravindra, City Planner Pradeep Kumar, Manager Sivannarayana were present in the meeting.
