The police arrested a teacher for luring a minor girl in the name of love and marriage and for sexually exploiting her.
DSP V Narayana Swamy Reddy told the media that the accused Jagannatham Sunil Kumar was arrested at Mangamuru Road here for sexually exploiting a minor girl.
The accused Sunil Kumar worked as a teacher and the victim used to go to him for tuition. He befriended the minor girl and maintained intimacy.
Later he took selfie photos with the girl. He also took a ring from her. The parents of the accused also cooperate with him, the DSP said.
The victim lodged a complaint about the sexual exploitation by the accused on August 16. The police registered cases under various sections including POCSO against the accused. CI Bakthavatsalam under the directions of DSP Narayana Swamy Reddy arrested the accused today. The DSP asked the parents to bring to the notice of the police if they face any problems regarding their minor daughters.
