Party leaders decided to launch a postcard campaign against the BRS government

Telangana Congress Affairs in-charge Manikrao Thakre on Friday has predicted Karnataka-like win in Telangana. He has asserted that Bharat Jodo Yatra of AICc former president Rahul Gandhi has made an impact.

While speaking to the media after the party executive committee meeting of the Campaign Committee on Friday at Gandhi Bhavan, Thakre said that TPCC Campaign Committee chairman Madhu Yashki Goud was an experienced leader and the party would move forward under his leadership. He said that the Khammam meeting in which Rahul Gandhi participated had changed the political scenario in Telangana.

Thakre exuded confidence that the Congress party would certainly win the election if every party leader strive for the success of the party. He said the BJP and BRS were two sides of the same coin. He said that the Congress Legislature Party also should wage a fight on the issues in the Assembly with a special strategy.

He suggested that the party leaders expose the BRS leaders’ corrupt practices and liquor scams. He asked all the Congress party affiliated unions to work in coordination.

Thakre said that Rahul Gandhi released the Farmers’ Declaration and Priyanka Gandhi released a Youth Declaration and the leaders should take them to the people. He asked the leaders to give wide publicity to the Congress assurances. He asked the leaders to use posters and campaign material in a big way.

He described the Supreme Court staying Rahul Gandhi’s conviction in the defamation case as a “victory for democracy.”

Madhu Yashki Goud said that the TPCC Campaign Committee executive committee’s next meeting would be at Gandhi Ideology Centre on August 6. He said that Congress would launch a postcard campaign. The government has been looting all sections of the people. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has been spending the Telangana money in other states.

TPCC Campaign Committee co-chairman Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said that would educate the people on the failure of the BRS government in fulfilling election promises.
