Many developmental projects sanctioned to Prakasam: Dola

Minister for Social Welfare Dola Bala Veeranajaneya Swamy has revealed that many development projects including construction of three social welfare hostel buildings at a cost of Rs 10 crore have been sanctioned by the government to Prakasam district.
The Minister, accompanied by Collector A Thameem Ansariya, participated in the ‘Idi Manchi Prabutwm’ programme in Kondapi town on Wednesday. They visited some houses and pasted the ‘Idi Manchi Prabutwam’ sticker and distributed pamphlets.  They explained to the people about the progress, achieved during the 100 days rule of the Chandrababu Naidu headed Government.  
Later the Minister laid the foundation stone for the construction of a cement road and drainage canals. The works would be carried out at a cost of Rs 50 lakh.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Minister Dola Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy said that during the 100 days rule, the Naidu headed government had sanctioned Rs 10 crore to the district for the construction of 3 social welfare hostel buildings. Moreover, Rs 13 lakh was sanctioned for the construction of a residential school in Kondapi and Rs 14 lakh for the construction of a social welfare hostel.
“Under the National Employment Guarantee Scheme, Rs 143 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of cement roads and drainage canals in the district. Apart from this, Rs 15 crore has been sanctioned to set up five electrical sub-stations,” the Minister revealed.
The Social Welfare Minister explained that during 2014-19, 13,616 people had constructed houses under the NTR housing scheme, verification is being done so that the bills due to them would be paid soon. Steps are being taken to pay the money to the beneficiaries soon, he informed.
The Minister stated that in order to extend social security pension to all eligible, Grama Sabha would be conducted to sanction pensions at the village level.  The government is working with the objectives of social welfare and development, he asserted.
The Minister highlighted that the Naidu headed new government had enhanced social security pension from Rs 3000 to Rs 4000 and reopened the Anna Canteens across the state to provide nutritious food at a cheaper price to the poor. The government has announced the mega DSC to fill up over 17,700 teacher posts, he noted.
 The free gas cylinder distribution and free bus travel to women would be launched as Deepawali gifts, he announced. The government has extended Rs 1,452 crore to the panchayats to take up development works and to robust the crippled village panchayats, Minister Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy acknowledged. Collector Thameem Ansariya also spoke.  Agriculture JD Srinivasa Rao and RDO Subba Reddy were among those who participated in the programme.
