Massive blood donation drive finds place in Genius Book of Records

The YSRCP’s call to donate blood has received tremendous response with the participation of about 1.30 lakh people, including ministers, party leaders and activists, even setting a record. The mega blood donation drive was organised to mark Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s 50th birthday on Wednesday.

In all, 1,29,451 people registered online through www.ysrcpblooddonation.com and also offline. The blood donation drive secured a place in the Genius Book of Records.

At a programme held at the YSRC central office in Tadepalli, international representative of Genius Book of Records Virendra handed over the certificate and medal to party general secretary and Government Advisor (Public affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy.

The previous record for donating blood was set by South Africa, where 71,000 people became part of the drive. The record was surpassed by the blood donation camp organised by YSRC where 1,29,451 registrations were made.

On the occasion, YSRC workers took a pledge to ‘Donate blood – Save a Life’. They organised several service-oriented programmes across the State to celebrate Jagan’s birthday. As part of this, they organised massive blood donation camps in the two Telugu States, other States and also abroad in collaboration with the Red Cross.

On the occasion, the party’s Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy stated that wherever they went, people showed them affection and fondness just because of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Jagan Mohan Reddy would be remembered for implementing many welfare programmes for the poor and the people in need.

“We are happy that, on the occasion of CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s birthday, his followers and party leaders came forward to donate blood out of admiration for him and created a world record by taking the oath of donating blood and saving a Life.

Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy congratulated YSRC secretary and Advisor to Skill Development Corporation Challa Madhusudhan Reddy and his IT, social media, student wing members and party followers for their support.
