Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 has shattered records on its first day, reaching the Rs 500 crore club in just two days. Interestingly, many Mega fans have been vocal about their opposition to Allu Arjun, with some even boycotting the film. This backlash may have contributed to the film’s relatively low premiere show numbers. However, despite this, Pushpa 2 performed exceptionally well, especially in the Hindi belt, creating history on its first day.
The success of Pushpa 2 has now put pressure on Ram Charan, son of Mega Star Chiranjeevi. His upcoming film Game Changer, directed by Shankar and produced by Dil Raju, is scheduled to release on January 10, 2025, coinciding with the Sankranthi holidays. Mega fans and Pawan Kalyan supporters are reportedly circulating messages on social media, urging fans to work towards achieving bigger collections on the first day. According to sources, the target is to collect at least Rs 200 crore on the first day. The film’s release has become a highly anticipated event, with many in the industry eagerly waiting to see how Game Changer will perform. However, one concern is that director Shankar’s previous film, Bharatheeyudu 2, was a major flop, leading some to question whether he has lost his touch.
To generate buzz and attract overseas audiences, the makers are organising a grand event in the USA. Additional events are planned in both Telugu states and other regions to promote the film and woo audiences.
