Speculations and rumours had spread about Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy opting for early polls if BJP plans for early general elections, but they have been denied by YSRCP. According to trusted sources, the topic of early elections besides political matters came during the discussions, but the CM expressed his disinterest. YSRCP MP Mithun Reddy, while refuting the rumours, affirmed that YSRC was not interested in early polls. CM Jagan will go to the elections as per schedule, he added.

Replying to reporters’ questions in Delhi on Wednesday, MP Mithun Reddy clarified that they did not need to go for early polls. On the occasion, Mithun Reddy said that CM Jagan discussed the development and funding of the State with the union ministers.
