Mindspace contributes Rs 2 cr to construct a Bharosa centre

The Mindspace Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) on Tuesday donated Rs 2 crore to the Cyberabad police for the construction of a Bharosa centre for women and children under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
A demand draft was handed over to Cyberabad CP Avinash Mohanty, and Secretary General of SCSC Ramesh Kaza, by K Raheja Corp Chief Operating Officer Shrawan Gone at the Commissioner office.
CP Avinash Mohanty said that Mindspace REIT has done several initiatives for the benefit of the society and this building would become a one point of contact facility for the women in distress. This building would consist of the Bharosa Support Centre for Women and Children. It is intended to support women affected by violence, in private and public spaces, within the family, community and at the workplace. Women facing physical, sexual, emotional, psychological and economic abuse, irrespective of age, class, caste, education status, marital status and race will be facilitated with support and redressal with specialised services like counseling and legal aid.
