Minister assures help to cyclone-hit farmers

Minister for Municipal Administration Audimulapu Suresh inspected the cyclone damaged crops on Monday at Gobburu village in Peddaraveedu mandal.

The minister saw the damaged crops and interacted with the farmers. The minister knew the problems of the farmers and infused them with courage. He asked them not to worry as the government would extend them all needed help. The minister directed the officials to complete enumeration of crop loss at the earliest.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the YSRCP government gives priority to the welfare of farmers and disbursing the input subsidy. He said that the officials were instructed to estimate the damage to the crops.

As soon as the report is received, steps would be taken to disburse the crop loss to the farmers, he stated. Taking a dig at the opposition parties, the minister alleged that the opposition parties were politicising the natural calamities.

The opposition parties are trying to get political mileage out of the crop damages due to cyclone, he flayed. The people of the state would not trust the opposition parties as they repose confidence in the government, he claimed.

He said that the disbursement for the crop loss would be made in two or three months. Minister assures of help to cyclone hit farmers.
