Minister for Housing Jogi Ramesh distributed community pensions at the beneficiaries’ doorstep at Pedana in Krishna district on Wednesday. He spoke to the beneficiaries regarding the implementation of welfare schemes.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Jogi Ramesh said that to see the happiness in the eyes of the elderly, the State government was distributing community pensions on the first day of every month. After receiving the pensions, the beneficiaries give blessings to Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, he said.
He specially thanked the volunteers for disbursing the pensions on day 1 of every month. He handed over the pensions to the weavers and enquired about the implementation of welfare schemes. More than 4,555 beneficiaries are getting pensions in Pedana town, he added.
Pedana Municipal Chairperson B Gnana Jyotsna Rani, Vice-Chairman MD Khaja, councillors B Gangaiah, M Subrahmanyam, Tanuja, Municipal Commissioner M Anjaiah and others were present.
