Minister exhorts student to excel in studies, sports

At the  Gurukul School and Girls Junior College in Andole, the 10th zonal-level games and sports meet prize distribution function was held. Minister for Health Damodar Raja Narsimha took part in the celebrations.
The Minister presented awards to students who excelled in the sports event.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said, “Children and students are the future architects of our nation. Wish everyone a happy Children’s Day. Girls are no less than a boys. Girls should not be subjected to insecurity. They should move forward confidently in all fields. Freedom is our birthright. Everyone should live freely and independently.”
“My congratulations to all the students who participated in the games and sports. Best wishes to students who won in the sports. Wins and losses are natural in sports as well as in life. Take them supportively and move forward. You must gather strength to play again and focus on practice,” he told the students.
Both education and culture, along with sports, are equally important. Every student should play the games they like. Students who participate in sports become strong physically and mentally.
They develop competitiveness, the ability to withstand pressure, and leadership qualities. These are essential in today’s lifestyle and would help a lot in achieving success in life.
Girls should not only excel in studies and sports but also have awareness about social, cultural, political, economic, and contemporary issues. He assured the students that a library would be established in the school to enable them to read books they liked.
