Minister Jupally starts stall at Tourism Trade Fair in Madrid

Minister of Tourism and Culture Jupalli Krishna Rao said that special attention has been given to develop the tourism sector in Telangana State. “We are giving importance to the construction of infrastructure facilities to attract foreign tourists,” he added. Minister Krishna Rao inaugurated the stall of Telangana Tourism Department on Wednesday at the International Tourism Trade Fair, which is being held at the International Foreign Exchange Master Agreement (IFEMA) in the Spanish capital, Madrid, popularly known as the International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR).
Bonalu, symbolic of Telangana’s cultural traditions, was organised as a festival of eyes. The performance by Oggudolu, Oggu Katha, Kuchipudi and Indian dance artistes was impressive. Foreign tourists also viewed them with interest.
Minister Jupally said, “Telangana’s tourism sector has a good future and all that is needed is the construction of necessary transport and other infrastructure for tourist centres.”
He said that Telangana’s culture, traditions, festivals held in different places and ancient buildings have opportunities to develop tourism everywhere.
“We will develop the tourism sector in that direction. Along with the strengthening of the economy through the tourism sector, there will be opportunities for employment generation,” the Minister added.
