Andhra Pradesh Minister for Agriculture Kakani Govardhan Reddy has lashed out at the media supporting TDP and media icon Ramoji Rao for spreading what he called false propaganda against the YSRC government.

Speaking at a media conference on Friday, the Minister said, “Ramoji Rao has no right to talk about moral values. Ramoji Rao’s petition in the Supreme Court against the searches going on at the Margadarsi offices is ridiculous. Shouldn’t the Stamps & Registration Department search the premises of Margadarsi? Is Ramoji ready for a CBI investigation over the financial irregularities in Margadarsi? Can you prove that there were no discrepancies in the transactions?“ the Minister challenged.

The Minister further said, “We don’t care about Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan who talks about farmers who cannot spell various crops sown in the state. It is ironic that Pawan Kalyan talks about farmers as he has no knowledge about them. The Minister said, “We have been asked on many occasions that if you show ten crops, can you identify 5 of them? Can you name them? The answer is no. We can ignore the comments of Pawan Kalyan who has no knowledge about agriculture.”

Commenting on Chandrababu Naidu, the Minister said that Chandrababu Naidu had become like Ghazni, so he speaks something in the morning and something else in the evening. As per NDRF regulations regarding crop loss compensation, the Chief Minister directed to act liberally and with humanity and provide compensation to the farmers who lost their crops. “We will stand by the farmers in every way. Chandrababu Naidu’s talk of giving Rs 40,000 or Rs 50,000 to farmers is bad politics,” he said.He recalled that during Chandrababu’s rule crop insurance was not paid to force the farmers to commit suicide.

Chandrababu Naidu was the one who said agriculture was waste and now he is talking about farmers cheating them. The minister said that the government started giving seeds at 80 percent discount where paddy crops are damaged. Without having basic knowledge they are talking about crop procurement, he said.
