Minister for Excise Dr V Srinivas Goud has maintained that the credit for making agriculture a profitable vocation, turning it around, goes to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao Addressing a gathering, after hoisting the national flag on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day celebrations held at Police Parade Grounds here on Tuesday, the Minister highlighted the development of the district in new state of Telangana. Earlier, the farmers used to be reduced to tears on seeing the fields that turned into waste lands. The government during the past nine years turned the parched lands into fertile soil. He appealed to people not to give credence to Opposition’s malicious propaganda. The Palamuru-Ranga Reddy LI scheme would become operational by end of next August, he said.
