Tourism, Culture, and Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh has assured that the Lakshmi Janardhana Swamy Temple will be further developed before the upcoming ‘Godavari Pushkaralu’. The Minister made this commitment during a visit to the temple for Kalyana Mahotsav celebrations on Saturday in the Rajamahendravaram Rural constituency.
Durgesh, wearing a turban, carried fruits and clothes on his head in a traditional manner and performed a ‘pradakshina’ around the temple. Vedic scholars blessed the Minister amidst traditional drums, music, and chanting.
Speaking at the event, Durgesh said that the Lakshmi Janardhana Swamy Rathotsav (chariot festival) would be celebrated grandly. He said that as a representative of the coalition government, the temple visit was to seek the deity’s blessings. Reflecting on the challenges of the past five years, he expressed hope that with Lord Lakshmi Janardhana’s blessings, the state would progress toward prosperity and well-being for all.
Durgesh stated that after discussions with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, efforts would be made for comprehensive and aesthetically pleasing temple development.
