Traffic diversions in city for Gunadala Mary Matha Fest

In anticipation of the Gunadala Mary Matha Festival, scheduled from February 9 to 12, the NTR District Police have announced traffic diversions in Vijayawada. These restrictions will be in place from the night of February 8 until February 12.
The police have closed the stretch between Padavalarevu Centre and ESI Junction to all vehicles during this period. NTR District Police Commissioner SV Rajasekhar Babu released a statement on Saturday detailing the changes. Vehicles will not be allowed to proceed from Gunadala Gangireddula Dibba via Bethlehem Nagar towards Padavalarevu Centre. Autos can ply up to Machavaram Down on Eluru Road and from Ramavarappadu Ring to ESI Junction.
Designated parking areas have been allocated at vacant spaces opposite Zion Bible College, ESI Hospital Ground, St. Joseph High School Ground, and on BRTS Road near Madhuranagar Bridge. These arrangements are designed to manage the expected influx of devotees and minimize disruption to the public. Commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and adhere to traffic police instructions.
Commissioner Rajasekhar Babu also outlined the rerouting of APSRTC city bus services. Buses operating between Pundit Nehru Bus Station (PNBS) and Ramavarappadu Ring will be diverted via the Police Control Room (PCR) Junction, Hotel Swarna Palace, Apsara Junction, Vijaya Talkies, Deepthi Junction, Chuttugunta Centre, Visalandhra Road, Metro Junction, Jammichettu, Siddhartha Junction, Amma Kalyana Mandapam, Christurajapuram, Sai Hotel Junction, Dental Hospital, and Mahanadu Junction.
City buses from Gannavaram and Auto Nagar will be diverted at ESI Junction, passing through Gunadala Post Office, Maddiravamma Gudi, Sangam Dairy Junction, Machavaram Police Station, Amma Kalyana Mandapam, Siddhartha Junction, Jammi Chettu, Madhu Chowk, Sikhamani Centre, Red Circle, Gopala Reddy Road, RIO Junction, Civil Courts, Mahanthi Market, Bandar Locks, and PCR Junction before reaching PNBS.
APSRTC will operate special buses from PNBS to a temporary bus stop at Madhura Nagar Kotha Vanthena Junction. These buses will travel via PCR Junction, Prakasam Statue, Railway Station East Booking, Eluru Locks, GS Raju Road, Gymkhana Grounds, Seethannapet Gate, BRTS Road, Sarada College Junction, Food Junction, and Madhuranagar Junction. The return journey will follow the same route.
Special bus services from BRTS Road and Machavaram Down to Ramavarappadu Ring will be rerouted via Chuttugunta Centre, Visalandhra Road, Metro Junction, Nice Bar, Jammi Chettu, Siddhartha Junction, Amma Kalyana Mandapam, Ramesh Hospital Junction, and Mahanadu Junction. Similarly, buses from Ramavarappadu Ring to Machavaram Down will use this route.
