Allagdda MLA Bhuma Akhila Priya on Monday handed over Rs 10 lakh ex gratia to the kin of four people who were killed in a roof collapse incident.
Four members of a family including the couple and their two daughters were killed when the roof of their house collapsed and fell on them when they were asleep a few days ago at Chinna Vangali village in Chagalamarri mandal. However, one of their daughters was studying by staying in a hostel and she escaped death.
However, she lost her parents and two siblings in the mishap. Moved with her heartening fate, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced Rs 10 lakh to 14-year-old girl Prsanna.
MLA Akhila Priya went to their house at Chinna Vangali village on Monday and handed over the ex gratia cheque to the girl. Akhila Priya assured the girl of extending all help till she settled in her life. Akhila Priya, who is also a former Minister, appealed to the people to inform the officials about the dilapidated houses.
