Telugu Desam Party (TDP) senior leader and former MLA GV Anjaneyulu has alleged that YSRCP Vinukonda MLA Brahmanaidu grabbed 175 acres of government land and demanded an inquiry.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, he said that 175 acres of land including forest land, irrigation tank land, and government-assigned land was grabbed by MLA Brahmanaidu at Jalalapalem village.
“A petition was filed in the High Court on the grabbing of 175 acres of government land by MLA Brahamanaidu. The High Court ordered the government to seize the grabbed lands from Brahamanaidu,’’ GV Anjaneyulu state.
The Tahasildar of Vinukonda submitted the details of the grabbed lands to the Lokayukta. Even though, MLA Brahamanaidu is making counterattacks on the opposition leaders and denying charges against him.
“MLA Brahmanaidu threatened activist Venkateswarulu, who is a Dalit, for filing a petition in the High Court against grabbing of government land. Brahamanaidu should owe responsibility if anything happens to Venkateswarulu,” the ex-MLA said.
The people of the constituency came to know of the grabbing of government lands by Brahamanaidu and they would teach him a lesson in the next elections, he maintained.
Ruling party MLA Brahmanaidu illegally extracted hundreds of truckloads of gravel. He is plundering the public properties and natural resources but the government did not take action to restrain him, GV Anjaneyulu lashed out. TDP city president Ayub Khan and other leaders were present.
