At the foundation stone-laying ceremony for the Young India Integrated Residential School Complex in Kondurg, Shadnagar MLA Veerlapalli Shankar brought to the attention of the Chief Minister several pressing issues related to his constituency, particularly the lack of basic infrastructure and development.
In his speech, Shankar pointed out that the previous government had failed to prioritise education in the region, leaving behind no tangible developments in Jilleduchaudaryguda mandal.
“Not even a table or chair was sanctioned,” he remarked, underscoring the need for significant improvements. He expressed optimism that under the Congress government, led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, institutions like ITI or Polytechnic colleges would soon be sanctioned, providing new opportunities for the youth.
The MLA further requested the Chief Minister to sanction essential facilities such as a primary health centre, police Station, or an integrated mandal complex for Jilleduchaudaryguda. He also drew attention to the underdeveloped Thandas in the constituency, noting that around 57-60 Thandas have been neglected, with SC/ST funds diverted by previous administrations. Shankar urged the Chief Minister to prioritize the development of these areas under the SC/ST sub-plan, as discussed in the Assembly.
