Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been watching Telangana, making enquiries about the political situation in the state. Modi held a meeting with BJP MPs in Delhi on Wednesday. After the meeting, the Prime Minister called Home Minister Amit Shah, JP Nadda and Rajya Sabha member Dr K . Laxman. They held a private meeting for 10 minutes mainly on BJP TS unit chief Bandi Sanjay’s padayatra in Telangana.

The Prime Minister reportedly asked Laxman about the prospects of Bandi’s padayatra and sought a report on people’s response to it.Dr. Laxman reportedly explained to Modi the progress of Praja Sangrama Yatra. Modi reportedly observed that Bandi Sanjay’s padayatra in Telangana would stand as “a role model in the country”.  

Leaders of the saffron party say that the BJP high command has brought focus on Telangana and Karnataka. This explains why the Prime Minister himself visited Telangana more than four times this year and addressed a few public meetings and the party cadre.
