The 19-year-old Rajasthani beauty Nandini Gupta was crowned Miss India 2023. She will now represent India in the next Miss World pageant, which has seen the likes of Priyanka Chopra and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan win the title in the past. After winning the 59th Miss India contest, Nandini thinks that rejections are an essential part of what makes a person who they are.
She is aware that obstacles will surely come up, but she is ready to face them head-on by viewing mistakes and setbacks as teaching moments. She discusses Bollywood, obstacles, and problems in this media interview! “My diligence and tenacity paid off. I will relive every second of that moment every day, since it was the most precious one of my life. Since English was my third language, overcoming my communication barrier has been the most difficult aspect of it. My barriers are my talents, which I will keep honing by accepting all of my failures and striving for success,” shared the beauty pageant holder.
When she was ten years old, her mother helped her navigate the dream at first. She was first introduced to beauty pageants by her! And her parents supported her choice. In other words, they support all of her decisions and are proud of her. “I tried to get inspired by different people,” she continues, referring to her preparation for Miss World 2024, where she will represent India. “I have been influenced by everyone, including Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai, and my predecessor Sini Shetty. She is a wealth of knowledge for me.”
It also had an impact on her mental health, but she was able to cope. Moreover, other models from various states were excellent. The females were like family to her, even if they had good and bad days. Even though things didn’t always go as planned, she was always grateful for what she had. ”Misconceptions exist regarding beauty pageants. However, we were informed during our first orientation day that they were not interested in having duplicates of previous winners. “We want you to be real and authentic,” they stated. “The beauty pageant has changed. It’s all about you, who you really are, and how at ease you are with your own skin. There are possibilities when it comes to fitness. While some can dance, others can swim or work out at the gym. There is emphasis placed on body positivity, and there is no body shaming,” she concluded the interview on a confident note.
