The National Seminar on the New National Education Policy 2020 is scheduled to take place at the School of Planning and Architecture in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, on August 3 and 4, 2024. Prof. Sirikonda Ramesh, Director of the School of Planning and Architecture, announced that the seminar will focus on the challenges faced in implementing the new national education policy.
During a brochure unveiling event at the school on Saturday, Prof. Ramesh elaborated on the seminar’s agenda and notable attendees. Union Minister of Health, Family Welfare, and Medical Education JP Nadda will be the Chief Guest and is set to inaugurate the seminar. Narla Vinay Kumar, Academic Advisor at Siddhartha Academy, will be the Guest of Honour, and G. Laxman, National Joint Organising Secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM) from New Delhi, will deliver the keynote address.
Prof. R. Sivarama Prasad, Dean of the Department of Commerce and Management at Acharya Nagarjuna University, will serve as the convener of the seminar. Dr. Balasubramaniam, a political science faculty member at SRR & CVR Government Degree College, will act as the organising secretary.
Prof. Ramesh highlighted that the seminar will see participation from academicians, professors, lecturers, and teachers from across the country. Discussions will cover the benefits of the new national education system, the expected goals, the challenges encountered in its implementation, and potential solutions.
