Presented by legendary filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt is his self-penned horror movie 1920: Horrors of the Heart. Directed by Krishna Bhatt, the film stars Avika Gor in the lead role. Produced by Rajkishore Khawre, the movie is all set to be released on June 23 in Telugu.
Actress Avika Gor, who is being introduced as a main lead in Bollywood with 1920, shared, “My dream is to work with legendary filmmakers like Mahesh Bhatt and Vikram Bhatt. I was lucky that it came so soon with this film. This added more responsibility to me. I have worked very hard for this film. We have taken a lot of care in every aspect, like appearance. Mahesh Bhatt presented this story. This is a unique horror movie. Each film produced by them is very special. I am very excited for this movie.”
The actress shared that she likes watching horror movies, and 1920 is a serious horror film. “This is the first time for me to do such a horror film. This is a very new feeling. After this movie, I think I will be approached for more horror stories, for sure,” said Avika.
A new technology (Unreal Engine LED Screen) was used in making this film, and the actress had to prepare a lot to adapt to it as most of the shooting was done in studios. She termed this movie “technically very different.”
On working with Mahesh Bhatt and her rapport with King Nagarjuna, the Popcorn star said, “Mahesh Bhatt and Vikram Bhatt are two amazing people. A man is given the respect, courtesy, and affection he deserves regardless of whether he is big or small for his qualities. Talking to them is like talking to a family member. I saw this quality in Nagarjuna too. That quality should definitely be learned from them. Nagarjuna has been encouraging me since my first film. He is my lucky charm. The other day, I was called a pan-world star. It was said with love and affection. I will always remember.”
Apart from 1920, Avika has a couple of Telugu movies in the pipeline, including the web series Indu and Amaran with Aadi Sai Kumar.
